The Steinway Society of Michigan

In 1986, a group of music lovers gathered together in our store to explore ways to showcase some of the great talent that Michigan has to offer and have a good time doing it. These were our goals.

  • Provide a platform for Michigan musicians to express their art for your enjoyment
  • Create a social setting where people can meet others that share a love for music
  • Encourage participation in recreational music making regardless of age and skill level
  • Recognize the musical achievements of our young artists
  • Raise funds to support youth based on need and talent

But most importantly…  TO HAVE FUN!

It was at this meeting, the Steinway Society of Michigan was born. Since our inception, we have hosted over five hundred incredible concerts, making our concert hall one of the most active venues in Michigan. Our emphasis is on great classical repertoire and the best of popular music.

Here’s what we do:

Many of the concerts are open to the public for a regular admission price. Society members however, receive advanced notification of all events, discounts on all performances and special invitations to “Members Only Events”. Please visit This Month’s Happenings for upcoming concert dates.
